Sydonie Bongam, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

​Sydonie Bongam, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who provides psychiatric services in-person and via telehealth licensed in DC and Virginia. She is qualified to practice in both primary care and psychiatry, where she diagnoses, treats, and prescribes medications for adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Some of her practice specialties include Depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, and PTSD. Her approach involves a holistic view of health, an emphasis on accurate and precise diagnoses, and pharmacological management with active patient involvement in treatment planning.

Sydonie received a baccalaureate degree in nursing from Howard University in Washington, DC.  She received a master's degree as a nurse practitioner in family practice form Chamberlain University and a doctorate degree as a nurse practitioner in psychiatric mental health from University of Massachusetts Global.  

Sydonie has had the privilege of working in many practice areas, including community mental health, inpatient hospital settings, primary care, and long term care settings.  She is fluent in both English and French. Sydonie's hobbies include reading, writing, cycling, basketball, dance and music.
